The correct dispensing and administering of medication is an important skill for anyone supporting a person living with disability. Assist with Medication Training will give you the skills to feel confident and competent in your ability to provide medication safely, however it does not cover the use of subcutaneous injections including insulin.
Assist with Medication Training teaches support workers and carers the skills and knowledge to safely assist with the administration of prescribed medications from dose administration aids.This includes understanding different types of medications, how they’re dispensed and how to support safe self-administration.
The course is designed for all support staff working in residential, community or home settings responsible for either assisting medication or the provision of self-medication.
