Sprouts – Kindy Readiness Program

Three to five year olds who are yet to start kindy.

Skill development in preparation for Kindy, including: gross & fine motor skills, language, self care, social interactions, adjusting to time away from parents. Parent education on supporting the transition, facilitating skills development, and navigating kindy programs.

Sprouts will be running as an NDIS “program of support”.

Programs of support are a way of running groups over a set period of time.

Everyone registered commits to attending the full group.

Standard cancellation rules don’t apply so prices won’t change for you depending on who else attended on the day.

NDIS Funding: Capacity Building (15)  or it can be privately funded.

Yes! Initially you will participate with your child and the therapy team, learning and watching how to directly support your child’s skill development. As the group progresses you will gradually come out of the room while your child continues to practice kindy skills. Giving you the opportunity to learn about  kindy readiness, coping mechanisms for both yourself and your child and how to support separation anxiety.

The goal is that your child will come away with improved kindy ready skills including:

• improved gross motor skills
• fine motor skills
• pre-writing skills
• scissor skills
• language skills
• self-care skills
• ability to follow structure and instructions
• social skills
• separating from you

You will come away with:

• education on expectations of kindy
• knowledge on how to support the transition to kindy
•  the tools to support your child’s skills development and how they can navigate kindy programs and special education schools if needed
