Opt-Out of Audit Participation

Rocky Bay will have a NDIS Audit from 27 to 31 October 2025.
The audit will be done by Assured Auditing, and there will be five auditors.

If you are a current or past Rocky Bay customer, the auditors might choose to talk with you and look at your customer file.

What is a NDIS audit?

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission want to make sure NDIS participants feel safe and have quality supports and services. So, they ask a group of people called the audit team to check on your NDIS provider to see:

  • How well they work
  • Whether they are following NDIS rules and quality standards
  • What information they keep
  • How people feel about the help they get

Audits are important. They help to protect the rights and safety of NDIS participants.
You have a right to be involved in the NDIS audit, but it’s your choice whether you take part in it or not.

What will the auditors do?

If you are selected, the auditors will:

  • Ask you questions about the services you get from us
  • Look at your customer file to check that your information is correct

We will not know who the auditors want to talk with until closer to the audit dates.

Do I have to talk with the auditors and let them look at my file?

No, you don’t have to, it is completely your choice.

What if I am happy to talk with the auditors?

You don’t need to do anything. This is called OPT-IN.

If you are chosen we will let you know. You can ask to have someone with you, like a family member, guardian, interpreter or advocate. The support person should not be someone who works for us.

How long will it take?

The chat with the auditor will usually take around 20 minutes and you can decide if you would like to talk with them face to face, over the phone or online.

What you say is private.

What if I do not want to talk with the auditors or let them look at my file?

You need to let us know. This is called OPT-OUT.

You can do this by choosing Option 1 on the Opt-Out form below

We will record your choice and let the auditors know.

What if I do not want to talk with the auditors but I am happy for them to look at my file?

You need to let us know. This is called a PARTIAL OPT-OUT.

You can do this by choosing Option 2 on the Opt-Out form below

We will record your choice and let the auditors know.

When do I have to let you know what I want to do?

Monday 22 September 2025.

Who can I talk with if I have any more questions?

You can talk with your Rocky Bay representative, or you can contact:
Mircalla Kolinac, Manager Quality, Risk and Governance, call 9383 5111
