Things to see and do
Ellis Brook Valley Reserve is home to some of the most stunning wildflowers that Western Australia has to offer. With over 500 species of wildflowers, this reserve is ideal to explore in spring and equally impressive any time of year thanks to landmarks like the Old Barrington Quarry and Sixty Foot Falls.
Open Thursday to Sunday each week, the Gosnells Railway Markets are a perfect one-stop-shop for food, fashion and homewares. The undercover markets are called the railway markets for good reason; there’s a train built into the walls of the building. Even if you go in without the need for something, you’re sure to leave with a treasure or two.
A great stop for any history buff, this museum’s own history is worth a visit alone. The Wilkinson Homestead was built in 1912 and today it houses historical artefacts such as textiles, agricultural machinery, furniture, photos and paintings significant to the area.
This indoor trampoline park is an amazing experience no matter your age. There are plenty of activities for those who want a challenge, such as dodgeball and slam dunk competitions.
Pricing is determined by your funding stream and cost is advised once your eligibility is confirmed.
A fee of $46.00 per night is required to be paid to cover a range of services not included in your funding plan, including:
- Meals and drinks
- Internet access
- Transport vehicles
In addition to this, board and lodging also goes towards the general upkeep of the house, to ensure that your stay with us is as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
Please note: If you have NDIS funding the $46.00 per night (board and lodgings) is included in your funding, therefore you won’t need to pay this additional cost.

What time is Check in / Check out?

What amenities do you provide in the rooms?

How many people can sleep in a room?
Each guest has their own room; however, The Beach House (Rockingham) has 2 rooms with 2 individual beds if you are interested in sharing with a friend.
Is there Wi-Fi at the guest houses?
Free Wi-Fi is available at each house for our guests to use. As streaming services are not available, we recommend you download movies and TV shows before coming to stay.
Do I need to bring spending money?
During your stay, there will be a number of activities that are available for you to join in. Some will be free activities, and some may require entry fees, like bowling or rock climbing.
Can my support worker/family stay with me?
Rocky Bay has qualified staff on hand to make sure your stay is fun and comfortable, while also meeting your support needs. Your family/support worker are welcome to pop in to visit.
How will you know what I like and don’t like?
Our staff takes time in getting to know you before your staycation. We want to know everything that makes you you to ensure your holiday is as comfortable as possible. Our staff not only care about what you like and don’t like, they are highly qualified and experienced in support, so you never need to worry.
Can we rent the house as a family for a holiday?
The houses are not open to rent privately by groups, but your family are always welcome to pop in for visits.
How old do I have to be to stay at the guest house?
To holiday at one of our guest houses, you need to be at least 18 years of age.
Can I bring my pet?
For the safety of your pet and the other guests in the home, we can’t accept animals in any house.
Can I bring in some additional items to make my bedroom more like home?
Of course! We want to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible, so if you would like to bring in additional items we are happy to accommodate you. We recommend that you label your property with your name and record it on your clothing list so that it makes it home with you at the end of your stay.
Should I bring food?
Each guest house caters to specific nutrition requirements and mealtime management plans. Our support workers will cook your meals for you. We even invite you to assist with the planning and cooking, if that’s what interests you!
How much clothing should I pack?
It’s not essential for you to bring much in the way of clothes as we have washing and drying facilities at each guest house. Our support workers will happily launder your clothes for you.
Who will give me my medications?
The guest houses have qualified support workers that assist with personal care and medications.
Please note: For your safety, all medications must be supplied in a Webster packed by your pharmacist.
Is there car parking available?
Yes, parking is available at each house, Please check with our Customer Engagement Team on (08) 6282 1900 for more information.
Can I still go to work or other commitments?
You are welcome to come and go as you please while you holiday in our guest house. If you have a schedule to stick to, like work hours or appointments, we recommend that you organise transport arrangements through family or a support worker.
Are Rocky Bay staff trained to follow Eating/Drinking and Swallowing Plans?
Our staff are all qualified in Eating/Drinking and Swallowing (Meal Time Management), and are happy to prepare your meals for you.
How much is board and lodging and what does it cover?
The board and lodging fee is $46.00. It covers a range of services that we offer, including:
- Meals, snacks and drinks
- Internet access
- Transport vehicles
This cost also goes towards the general upkeep of the house to ensure your stay with us is as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
The nightly amount paid by the Department of Communities covers cost of staffing and administration.
If you have NDIS funding the $46.00 per night (board and lodgings) is included in your funding, therefore you won’t need to pay this additional cost.
Do I pay board and lodging if I have my meals via a PEG?
If you use a PEG feed and have the full supply of formula with you, your board and lodging fee is reduced to $36.00. If you have a combination of formula and food, the board and lodging fee will be $46.00.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
You can cancel your reservation at any time by contacting our Customer Engagement Team on (08) 6282 1900. For Block Funding we prefer a minimum of 48 hours’ notice of cancellation to allow others to fill the reservation. If you have funding under the NDIS you will need to provide 5 days for cancellations. More information can be found on the NDIS Cancellation Policy page.
Can I make changes to my reservation?
You can request changes to your reservation at any time by contacting our Customer Engagement Team on (08) 6282 1900. The sooner we know what you prefer, the more likely we are to make it happen.
