Neil and Jasmine
Eden Hill Supported Disability Accommodation (SDA) customer Neil has been kicking goals lately and his most recent one was a delicious success.
With the support of the Eden Hill team, Neil set out to achieve a personal goal to prepare a meal for a friend. The result was a beautifully cooked dinner shared with fellow SDA resident Jasmine, made with care, teamwork and plenty of heart.
Ahead of the special evening, the craft room in the home was transformed into a fine dining restaurant with Neil setting the scene for a romantic dinner replete with fair lights and dreamy décor.
Neil then got to work cooking up a storm preparing the dishes he had carefully selected for the three-course meal.

As Jasmine arrived for the dinner, Neil surprised her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers before presenting her with the evening’s menu featuring a selection of her favourite foods, including garlic bread as a starter, carbonara as the main course and cheesecake for dessert.
How we helped
Neil successfully reached his goal with a home-cooked meal that was accompanied by good conversation in a candlelit setting. It was a great moment of independence and connection. Jasmine was genuinely impressed by both the gesture and Neil’s cooking skills.
