We’re shining a spotlight on Yasmeen, a remarkable member of our Stages to Employment Pathway (S.T.E.P) team. In just over a year, Yasmeen has become an invaluable S.T.EP mentor, dedicated to guiding our customers in helping them secure meaningful employment.
Yasmeen’s journey to becoming a S.T.E.P mentor is one fuelled by initiative. Previously, she spent seven years at Muzz Buzz in Clarkson as store Manager. Rocky Bay staff members frequented Yasmeen’s place of work and thanks to her great customer service skills, they got to know each other well! Learning about the S.T.E.P program, Yasmeen saw an opportunity for herself and approached the Rocky Bay team about joining the company. The rest is history!
For Yasmeen, seeing the joy reflected in the faces of customers when they achieve their goals is what drives her. She is passionate about making a positive impact on their lives and guiding them through challenges. As a mentor, Yasmeen’s days are dynamic and diverse – from supporting customers on public transport to assisting them in work experience roles or helping them obtain their learners’ permits.
At Rocky Bay, the S.T.E.P program is the driving force behind empowering individuals to achieve their employment goals. Through all stages of the S.T.E.P program, customers embark on a journey of discovery. Yasmeen and the team invest dedicated time to explore and help individuals achieve their employment goals. The program is designed to empower customers to find their own jobs at the end of the journey.
Mentors like Yasmeen create individualised plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each customer. The program explores a range of job options suited to individual needs and skill sets. Each stage of the program promises defined outcomes, ensuring progress and growth at every step.
