The health and alignment of your feet are important for overall function and well-being, and sometimes a disability can create additional challenges that require special care. Rocky Bay offers podiatry services, funded via the NDIS, to keep your feet happy, healthy and in good condition.
Rocky Bay’s podiatry clinic can provide assistance with:
- Assessment of your feet including skin and nail condition, alignment, function and footwear
- Foot care for people with difficulty reaching or accessing their feet, such as preventing pressure sores and basic nail care
- Assistance with circulation, particularly for customers with diabetes
- Prescribing and fitting customised footwear, orthotics and splints
Podiatry services are available two days per week from Rocky Bay’s Cockburn Central hub. Please contact us to make an enquiry.
Podiatry may be explicitly specified in your NDIS plan, but can also be accessed under transdisciplinary therapy services. From October 1 2019, the NDIS listed podiatry as a disability-related health support. Prices are set at standard therapy rates. Ask our friendly Customer Engagement staff if you need assistance accessing podiatry services via your NDIS plan.
