We are very excited to be working in partnership on a community inclusion project with the Presbyterian Ladies College, and twelve of their Year 9 students. The purpose of the project is for the students to:
- Develop a holiday program for Rocky Bay customers aged 13-16 years old
- Investigate the opportunity of establishing a Rocky Bay choir that meets the needs of customers of all ages.
As part of this project, the students are seeking feedback from a survey they have developed for our customers, so we can find out more about the school holiday activities you would be interested in taking part in, and when it comes to a choir, what songs might be of interest to you!
Click here to take the survey.
The students who volunteered to be involved in the project wish to gain a better understanding of people living with disability, and ways to empower them and promote social and economic inclusion.
We have had the pleasure of meeting and working with the students to discuss the project and what inclusion and active participation means, and what factors we may need to consider when planning an activity for people living with disability. The students have also visited our Mosman Park hub to explore our Community area and The Studio, to gain further insights into the activities and programs we offer.
We are so excited to see this project succeed and will keep you posted as it progresses!
