current advice

From Friday 10 October 2022, COVID public health measures were eased in the community although some rules still apply for disability care facilities.

The current requirements are:

Masks

Masks remain mandatory for staff working in our:

Group homes
Respite facilities; and
Allied health services

Masks must also be worn by all visitors to our group homes and respite facilities.

Visitors

Visitor limits will now be increased to four (4) people, per resident, per day.

Additionally, larger group events may be undertaken with the permission of the manager (e.g. birthday parties and Christmas gatherings).

Vaccinations

Visitors to residential disability facilities no longer require mandatory vaccination.

Any questions relating to vaccinations, or for anything else relating to COVID, please email [email protected].

how Rocky Bay is responding

Rocky Bay continues to follow the Health Department guidelines, for ensuring the safety of our staff and customers and this has worked well so far in minimising the impact and keeping people safe.

As part of our approach, we will make informed decisions on any case to balance continuity and quality of service to our customers against any risks. Safety of staff and customers is our overarching consideration, and we will put in place appropriate PPE where and when it is needed to keep you protected, based on health advice.

We will do our best to keep disruption to a minimum, while still providing the best possible service in a safe and friendly manner.
