Hands and Upper Limbs

occupationaltherapyphysiotherapy

Rocky Bay Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists can assist you to perform functional tasks using your hands and arms to perform everyday activities.

Following a detailed assessment of your hand and arm function (including movement, strength, dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and an analysis of how you perform everyday tasks), your therapist will tailor an individualised intervention program. This may include individual therapy sessions, recommending compensating strategies, adaptive equipment and assistive technology where necessary.

The aim is to support your skill acquisition and functional independence in areas such as meal preparation, handwriting, functional mobility, leisure activities and daily routines in your home, school, workplace and community.
