The Terrycopter takes off

Terry, one of the Rocky Bay residents lives with Spina Bifida.  He has always wanted to see the world from the air so he made a wish to Rocky Bay’s Wishing Tree to go for a ride in a helicopter.  We were able to grant Terry his wish, with thanks to funds from the Western Australian public and the work of Heliwest and Rocky Bay.

A dry run was held one month prior to ensure that a specific van (the Posture Tech van) could match the height of the helicopter for Terry to transfer safely in.

Watch the six minute video and look at Terry’s face in flight towards the end to see what it meant to him.
