Program Structure

Hydro Heroes is a fun and engaging six-week water based therapy program designed to support children’s development in a fun and social environment. Led by experienced therapists, these weekly 45-minute sessions help your little one build essential skills while having a great time in the water! You’ll be there supporting your child in the pool during the sessions.

Program Details
  • Sessions and Timing: 6 x 45 minute sessions (children must attend all sessions)
  • Who can attend: Children 0-3 years and their care giver
  • What to bring: Towel, swim nappies, bathers, food/drink, pool admission fee
  • Funding Options: NDIS Improved Daily Living (15) running as program of support, or paying privately

Please note program costs include 45 minutes of face-to-face therapy time, as well as 15 minutes of preparation time. Pool admission fees and lane hire are an out-of-pocket charge (i.e. not covered by program cost/NDIS). Lane hire costs will be divided among participants over the six weeks.

What is a program of support and what does it mean for me?

Hydro Heroes will be running as an NDIS “program of support”.

Programs of support are a way of running groups over a set period of time.

Everyone registered commits to attending the full group.

Standard cancellation rules don’t apply so prices won’t change for you depending on who else attended on the day.

What are the Hydro Heroes Program Goals?

Providing children up to 3 years of age with delays in their motor skills development with a program of hydrotherapy, assisting in skills development, water skills and water safety awareness.

Do I need to get in the pool with my child?

Yes, at least one parent or caregiver  is required to be in pool with their child.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a towels, swim nappies, bathers, food/drink and any other personal belongings along with money for pool entry.
