New Short Stay Accessible Family Accommodation in Cottesloe 

Rocky Bay has introduced purpose-built, short-term accessible family accommodation at Lady Lawley Cottage in Cottesloe, providing a rare and much needed option for families with children and young adults living with disability. 

Located within Rocky Bay’s children and youth hub, the accommodation has been thoughtfully designed to support families who may require accessible amenities while attending therapy, medical appointments or specialist services in Perth. It also offers an inclusive, supportive environment for families seeking short-term accommodation that genuinely understands disability needs. 

Lady Lawley Cottage features two fully self-contained units designed to provide comfort, independence and flexibility. 

Osprey, a three-bedroom, two-bathroom unit, comfortably accommodates up to six people and includes accessible bathrooms with roll-in showers and ceiling hoists, step-free access, wide hallways and a private courtyard. 

Norfolk Pines, a two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit sleeping up to four people, offers a flexible layout overlooking shared outdoor alfresco areas, with semi-private access and the same high level of accessibility throughout. 

Each unit includes a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, living space, towels and linen, adjustable beds, free Wi-Fi, accessible on-site parking and access to shared gardens and BBQ facilities. Every detail has been designed to support both independence and togetherness for families with varying access needs. 

This level of accessible, family-focused short-term accommodation is rare in Perth, particularly in a coastal location integrated within a specialist disability service environment. The units are available for a minimum two-night stay and are suitable for families accessing disability services, those attending therapy or medical appointments, and families requiring accessible accommodation, including those outside the NDIS community. 

Co-located within Rocky Bay’s children and youth hub, families have the option to connect with community and therapy services during their stay, subject to availability and service agreements. 

Lady Lawley Cottage is also situated close to Cottesloe’s parks, local amenities and Cottesloe Beach, where beach wheelchairs are available free of charge via the Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club.
