Celebrating our people: Recognising Outstanding Care and Long‑Term Dedication

At Rocky Bay, the quality of our support begins with our people. Every day, our teams deliver exceptional care, bringing creativity, passion and dedication to their roles as they support our customers to live the lives they choose. Recently, we had the pleasure of coming together to celebrate team members who consistently go above and beyond.

Each quarter, we recognise outstanding staff through our Rocky Bay Star Awards, which celebrate individuals who demonstrate exceptional customer service, teamwork, innovation and professionalism. We also honour those who have reached significant service milestones through our Loyalty Awards, acknowledging their longstanding commitment to our customers and community.

A big congratulations to all our Quarter 4 award recipients, and a warm thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate. We’d also like to thank Rocky Bay Board Member Tricia Murray for presenting the awards.

Providing Excellent Customer Service – Laura Khng

Laura advocated for a customer to secure a ceiling hoist approved by the NDIS, supporting their independence at home. Her detailed, high‑quality documentation for assistive technology needs continues to make a meaningful difference every day.

Looking for Better Ways – Hayley Teeuwissen

Hayley created and rolled out Hydro Heroes, a hydrotherapy group for children under three and their caregivers. The pilot was a success and will return in 2026, providing a supportive pathway from ESIP hydrotherapy to an NDIS‑funded group. Families have shared how the program has helped them build confidence, community and connection.
