The Royal Fremantle Charity Golf Day was started in 1980 by Rodney Marsh and Terry Alderman to raise funds for Rocky Bay. Since then, the event has raised more than $735,000 to help people living with disability to live a better quality of life.
With over 250 games under his belt, Glen Jakovich has become one of West Coast’s greatest players of all time. He debuted for the Eagles in 1991 and played for the club in the centre half-back position. Jakovich was selected in that position in the All-Australian team of 1994 and 1995. He was notable for his duels with rival centre half-back forward, North Melbourne Football Club’s Wayne Carey. Jakovich also had a rivalry with Geelong Football Club All-Australian centre half-forward Barry Stoneham.
In 2008, he was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame and the West Australian Football Hall of Fame. He was an inaugural inductee in the West Coast Eagles Hall of Fame in 2011.
- 2x Premiership player (1992, 1994)
- 2x All-Australian team (1994, 1995)
- 4x West Coast Club Champion (1993, 1994, 1995, 2000)
- Australian Football Hall of Fame (inductee 2008)
The event includes a main auction and a silent auction that contribute enormously to the overall fundraising total. We would be delighted if you could join us in 2019 in making a world of difference to the lives of our customers.
As such, we are seeking donations for inclusion in this year’s auctions. This year we aim to raise $20,000 towards life changing therapy equipment for Western Australians living with disability.
The success of this event relies on the support of a caring community, and anything you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated. Donations with a value or more than $500 will see your brand featured in our event program.
Should you have any queries in regards to donations, please call Kelly-Anne Day on 9383 5147 or email [email protected]
