Public submissions now open for the Royal Commission

The Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability is now accepting public submissions that will form part of the commission’s records.

The Royal Commission is seeking information on a range of issues, including:

  • Incidents of violence, abuse and/or neglect
  • Complaint process and outcomes
  • Access to places and services
  • Quality and safety of disability specific services
  • Best practice and innovation

Please note, if you decide to make a submission at this time the information you provide will be publicly available. Confidential submissions will be available in the future, but are not currently being accepted.

An official information line has also been established to support people with disability, families, carers and others to engage with the Royal Commission. Please call 1800 517 199 between 9am and 5pm AEDT Monday to Friday. You can also email [email protected]

Anyone can make a submission and we encourage anyone who wishes to participate to do so.
