Development of Western Australia’s 10-year State Disability Plan is underway and the Department of Communities is currently running a series of consultation workshops throughout WA to gain community input.
The workshops are open to everyone, including people living with disability and their family, guardians and carers. The sessions will focus on defining the values of the State Disability Plan, as well as the attitudes and behaviours that will support better inclusion for people with disability throughout Western Australia. They will also look at the broad themes and priorities that you want to see included in the Plan. Upcoming locations and dates are listed below.
Pre-registration is essential for all workshops and sessions are filling fast so we encourage you to register soon. Visit http://state-disability-plan.eventbrite.com.au for further details about workshops and to register for the one nearest you.
For those unable to make it to one of these sessions, there will be other opportunities to provide input and contribute to ongoing discussions around the State Disability Plan.
