Anton wins silver!

Our very own Disability Support Worker and international shooter, Anton Zappelli, has earned a silver medal at the 2018 World Shooting Para Sport Championships in South Korea held earlier this month!

Anton competed in the R3 10m Air Rifle Prone Mixed SH1, with team members Natalie Smith and Glen McMurtrie. Anton also qualified for the individual 10m Air Rifle Prone final, finishing eighth overall.

Anton is certainly no stranger to competing in international shooting events. His international debut was at the 2014 IPC Shooting World Cup, where he picked up a bronze medal. In 2016 he competed in the SH I Rifle Classification at the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, and last year Anton won bronze for Australia at the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup in Croatia.

Congratulations Anton for yet another amazing sporting achievement! We can’t wait to see what’s next.
