Twilight Festival - March 19, 2010. A Rocky Bay event, funded by the Town of Mosman Park. Local organisations and schools have been invited to join with Rocky Bay clients to participate in a community festival where the atmosphere is created by storybook and science fiction costumes, music and coloured lights.

The event will be held at Rocky Bay, 60 McCabe Street, Mosman Park on Friday, March 19, 2010 between 6pm and 9pm. During the event there will be a theatrical performance between 7pm and 8pm called "War of the Worlds". The audience will be inspired to participate in a spontaneous theatre led by a moderator.

The play is an imaginary world (planet fifty-one and a half) somewhere in a distant galaxy. The inhabitants of the planet are recognisable as peace-loving story book characters, which regard fun and laughter as optimum life experience. The tranquillity is shattered when noisy and ill-mannered aliens try to invade their world.

Participants are encouraged to dress up in costumes, use a variety of safe props and let loose with spontaneous laughter, or adversely with evil-sounding and menacing whoops, thereby contributing to the overall fun and atmosphere of the evening. The play concludes with a peace ceremony, exchanging of pledges of cooperation and a short procession.

Each participant is asked to bring two pieces of fruit and three flowers of their choosing. These will be used to create an artistic flower and fruit display and a fruit salad to share at the end of the evening.
