Royal Fremantle Charity Golf Day
The 29th Annual Charity Golf Day at Royal Fremantle golf Club was held on Friday 26 February in the usual sweltering conditions.
With almost a full house this year, the players teed off after a barbeque lunch, with sausages donated as always by Dorsogna. They played 18 holes of ambrose golf including competing in the longest drive, closest to the pin competition and a newly-introduced putting competition.
After the golf everyone enjoyed an excellent dinner, and a silent and main auction conducted by Ian Cornell.
All in all the day raised a record amount of over $28,000 and our thanks go to Bruce Mead and the Royal Fremantle Golf Club staff for allowing us to use the Club for the day, their efficient organisation and friendly staff, the committee who assisted in organising the event, Mario Cattalini, Adrian Montagu, Don Peters and Jo Palermo who arranged the teams and much of the food that was donated.
A special thank you to Charlie Bacich for the wonderful fruit donated again this year.
