Speech Pathologist - Part time limited term contract for special project

Expressions of interest are being sought from speech pathologists interested in completing a special project for Rocky Bay on a part time limited term contract. You will be producing an information package for parents and teachers involved in supporting school aged children using Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) devices. The package will include evidence based information on how to best help children using AAC devices to optimise their communication and educational outcomes.
Applicants should have:
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with children using Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) including high tech devices
- Experience working in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to optimise AAC outcomes for clients in home, school and community settings
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience producing high quality written material for parents and education staff
- Excellent time management skills
The project may be completed over approximately 10 hours per week between April and December 2010. Although funding for the project is fixed, if you would prefer to increase the number of hours per week and complete the project earlier, we are happy to discuss this option with you.
