Posture Tech employs a team of technical and therapy staff. It is located primarily in Cockburn Central, with a smaller base at Mosman Park, and has clinical rooms and workshop facilities.
Consultation and technical services are provided in the following areas;
- Postural Assessments
- Design and fabrication of customised seating systems for wheelchairs
- Wheelchair Prescription
- Repairs, servicing and maintenance of wheelchairs and other equipment
- Assessment for alternative seating and standing equipment
- Pressure mapping for skin care
- Night time positioning
- Training in the area of postural management
Primary therapists may access Posture Tech on behalf of clients with disabilities.
For DSC funded clients there is no charge for consultations; however manufacture, repair or supply of equipment must be funded through the person’s CAEP funding following a quote from Posture Tech.
For non-DSC funded clients, consultation and equipment provision is undertaken on a fee for service basis. Quotes will be provided for any services requested.
