Clinical Services Directorate
Rocky Bay Clinical Services embraces an Individual Centred approach and with the children, a Family Centred approach. The practice advocates partnership and collaboration between the individuals and/or families and the team to determine how best to meet the individual's needs. Rocky Bay recognises that each family knows their child best and the role of the Clinical Services team is to assist each family in the management of their child.
Information is shared to allow individuals and families to make informed decisions and choices.
This is reflected in our practice by :
- Regular scheduling of Individual and/or Family Centred planning meetings that incorporate joint goal setting and forward planning.
- Promotion of open lines of communication between involved participants including verbal and written communication.
- Negotiation of services with each individual and/or family, based on the individual and family's circumstances.
- Flexibility to liaise with individuals and/or families at mutually convenient venues that may include home, school, Rocky Bay or community facilities.
- Allocation of a Service Coordinator/Contact Person for each individual as required.
