Electric Wheelchair Sports

Sport is an integral part of life at Rocky Bay. The Electric Wheelchair Sports program coordinates the following sports:

• Hockey;
• Touch Rugby; and
• Balloon Soccer.

The Electric Wheelchair Sports Coordinator facilitates a weekly competition on Sundays and Wednesdays. There are six members per team and three games are played each week for twenty one rounds. Finals occur in October. Finalists' medals and Best and Fairest Awards are made at the Smith Hall Awards Night at the end of this competition.

 

A State Team is selected in January to compete in the National Electric Wheelchair Sports Competition, usually held in a capital city over the Easter period. There is great competition amongst competitors to be part of this team.

The Electric Wheelchair Sports program is affiliated with the WA Disabled Sports Association and incorporated under Rocky Bay.
