Disability InfoLink is a new website for families of children with disabilities and their healthcare workers.
It includes links to:
- consumer websites with reliable information about disabilities,
- services for children with disabilities and their families,
- websites about schooling for children with disabilities,
- professional literature databases and critical appraisal tools,
- support networks for children with disabilities and their families,
- books about disabilities, and
- information about how to work with your healthcare professional.
The website is easy to navigate and provides quick links to a wide range of useful internet sites. For healthcare professionals and anyone interested in reading the professional literature, it also contains sections on how to search for professional literature and how to make sense of it.
The website was designed in conjunction with Rocky Bay and Therapy Focus and is currently hosted by The Centre for Cerebral Palsy. The website is designed for families of children with all kinds of disabilities, not only cerebral palsy. The development of this website was funded by Non-Government Centre Support (NGCS) and was supported by an advisory group of professionals and consumer representatives across the disability sector.
