Last year the Automotive Holdings Group Corporate Golf Day set a new record, raising a staggering $181,500.  This brought the total raised to over $1million in the 8 years that the golf day has been run - an absolutely fantastic result.

34 Teams of four players enjoyed perfect golfing weather, a stunning meal afterwards, and along with the auction afterwards, the event reached the highest total in the eight years it has been running.

AHG Managing Director, Bronte Howson said that the total amount was a tribute to the generous support of AHG’s dealerships, their clients and the Group’s suppliers, who, along with Rocky Bay’s supporters have made this annual event the most successful charity golf day in Western Australia. Mr Howson said that he was humbled by the result, which took the amount raised since 2004 to more than $1 million, a target Mr Howson had hoped to reach in 10 years.

Rocky Bay’s CEO, Michael Tait praised AHG and its corporate clients and suppliers saying that Rocky Bay is delighted to be one of the many worthy causes the Group assists.  “The amount is simply outstanding.  It goes a long way towards helping us as an organisation to deliver the services we do and, in turn, it provides very real benefits to our many clients”

Life Membership for Paul Laurance

During the evening Mr Tait awarded a Rocky Bay life membership to Paul Laurance of Laurance Scrap Metals for his on-going support of the AHG Golf Day. “His ongoing generosity has made a significant difference to the lives of children and adults at Rocky Bay.”
