Graham is a former partner of Deloitte and an experienced board member with a professional background in financial reporting, compliance requirements, transaction due diligence, risk assessment and corporate governance. He has over 35 years professional experience as a Chartered Accountant and has held senior leadership roles as a partner of Deloitte to 2011, working in Perth, Brisbane, New Jersey and New York.
Graham is a former member of the Deloitte Australia Board and a former Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accounts, WA Council.
Susan has been employed in strategic consulting and executive management roles and has a background in Occupational Therapy. Susan was elected Deputy Chair in November 2012.
Rob is also a Representative on the Board of Trustees of Crippled Children’s Foundation.
Dr Phillipa Lamont
Phillipa’s medical background in the newly emerging field of Neurogenetics gives her a special interest in the clients of Rocky Bay.
Peter has been a client of Rocky Bay for almost 40 years. He previously sat on various committees and was a Board member in the 1990s. Peter has been a member of Apex and owned and ran a small business with his wife.
Bruce is an experienced human resources executive having held various senior roles including Managing Director, Harrier Resourcing People; Head of Human Resources, HBOS Australia; and Chief People Officer, Bankwest. He holds graduate and postgraduate qualifications in Education and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chris is an experienced executive in the international resources industry with over 25 years experience. He has held various senior roles in major operating companies and has considerable experience in raising both equity and debt for large resource projects. Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Durham, UK and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Chris and his wife Helga are the parents of a long term client of Rocky Bay.
Paul is a Deloitte partner and leader of the WA Technology consulting practice, with over 20 years consulting experience across a diverse range of industries. Paul specialises in IT strategy and planning and the implementation of technology-enabled solutions. Paul’s Australian industry experience includes mining, oil and gas, utilities, Government and financial services. His prior UK experience also included consumer products, retail and manufacturing.
Rowan is a senior lawyer in WA with almost 20 years experience.
Rowan has extensive experience in a broad range of industries, specialising in work health and safety, employment and industrial issues.
Rowan has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Murdoch University, graduating in 1995.
As Director of Business Strategy at Block Strategy, Carolyn focuses on working with clients to grow their company’s market share, launch new products, position and differentiate company offerings, attract and retain staff, and engineer company culture to meet the constantly changing business landscape.
Moving back to Perth in 2006 after living abroad for nearly two decades, Carolyn took up the position of Brand and Communications Director of the Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia. In 2008, Carolyn was also nominated as Ad Person of the Year by Campaign Brief, the only client to ever be nominated for this award.
Before RAC, Carolyn served as Senior Vice President for the McCann World Group in New York City. Her previous experience also extends to the financial industry, where she held a number of key management positions working on B2B marketing programs for London firms including Citibank, Mellon Bank and Bankers Trust.
Michael is Chief Executive Officer of Rocky Bay, an organisation that has been providing community services in Western Australia for over 75 years. Prior to taking the role, Michael spent over 25 years in senior management positions within the health, hospitality, property development and disability sectors. During this time he operated in Polynesia, Indonesia, Australia, UK and Europe for both national and internationally based organisations.
Since joining the community services sector in 2006, Michael has been actively involved in many projects and committees within both the more specific disability services and also the broader community and not for profit arenas. Michael is the current deputy chair of the Western Australian peak body National Disability Services. Rocky Bay is a founding member of Ability First Australia, an association of Australia’s leading disability services organisations and as a member CEO, Michael sits on the Board and is therefore involved and exposed in many national disability issues.
Mervyn commenced at Rocky Bay in 1993 as Finance Manager. Prior to this date he worked in Chartered Accounting and commercial organisations for almost 25 years.
Over the past few years Rocky Bay has tripled in size and has started the process of establishing itself as the leading Disability service provider in WA.
As Director of Finance, Mervyn has participated in numerous industry committees and is currently on the Finance Advisory Sub committee of NDS.
Formerly a senior physiotherapist with Disability Services Commission, Linda started at Rocky Bay in June 1999 as Manager Clinical Services and in 2007 became Director Clinical Services.
Clinical Services offers physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nursing, social work, specialist postural management, technical services, refurbished equipment and hydrotherapy to West Australians of all ages living with disability.
Wendy has a strong background in human resources and has a passion for working with people. Wendy commenced with Rocky Bay in 2007, prior to this she has worked for many years both in finance and human resources.
Wendy works with divisions throughout Rocky Bay enabling management and her team to deliver operational, strategic and innovative HR & Training Services. Her focus is on strategic HR practices; innovation, relationship building, leadership and working collaboratively, with both internal and external stakeholders, creating a learning and safety culture with continuous improvement strategies.
Director Strategy & Infrastructure
Trevis commenced at Rocky Bay in 2011 as Manager Infrastructure, becoming Director Strategy & Infrastructure in 2013.
With over 20 years of management experience across Western Australia Trevis has worked in areas including ICT, information management, strategic planning, business intelligence and infrastructure management, leading change & innovation and managing enterprise-wide projects.
Strategy & Infrastructure delivers a wide range of corporate services including strategic planning, governance, business improvement, risk management, information & communication technology, infrastructure design & maintenance, asset management, and social enterprises.
Director Home & Community
Jane commenced at Rocky Bay in November 2013 to take up the new role of Director of Home and Community; created due to a period of significant expansion over the previous three years.
Prior to this, Jane worked in a variety of management positions in the not for profit disability services sector in the UK for over twenty years.
Jane has a passion for providing high quality, person centred services, putting the individual first; delivered through a supportive and coaching focused management structure by well trained, and enthusiastic teams of people with a ‘can do’ attitude and a desire for continual improvement.
Director Leisure & Independence
Kylie Murphy has recently joined Rocky Bay as the Director of Leisure and Independence; this role is responsible for the Alternatives to Employment, recreation and employment portfolios.
Kylie has well over twenty years experience in working in the human services sector, predominantly in disability services and holds a BA, Women’s Studies and Legal Studies (Hons), from Murdoch University. Kylie is currently undertaking a Masters of Business Administration through Deakin University.
